Abstract: The research explores the impact of adult education on reducing gender disparities. This study aimed to investigate how adult education initiatives contribute to narrowing the gender gap in various socio-economic sectors. The objectives of this research were to assess the role of adult education in empowering women, to evaluate the effectiveness of gender-focused educational programs, and to identify the barriers to achieving gender equality through adult education. A survey research design was employed to gather data from diverse adult education programs, as this design facilitates a broad and representative analysis of the impact across different settings. A sample size of 350 participants, including male and female adult learners, was selected to ensure a comprehensive understanding. The purposive sampling technique was used to focus on participants involved in gender-sensitive adult education programs. The case study was conducted in Ogun, Nigeria, where gender disparity issues were notably prevalent. Findings revealed that adult education significantly contributed to reducing gender disparities by empowering women and providing equitable opportunities for learning and development. The study recommended enhancing gender-focused educational initiatives and implementing policies that support equal access to adult education for all genders.
